To any Bank of America coustomers!!!?

This isnt a question this is a statement. If you have an account at bank of america please move the account to a local bank or credit union cause BOA doen not care about you!!! Unless you have $1,000,000 in your account your nothing to them. If you dont belive me try to call them with a problem with your account, they will talk to you like your a child and dismiss you the same way. Ive never seen such a large company be so careless and rude about my concerns. Just a little inf of my situation... I tried to get a loan for $2000 to buy a truck and an associate led me in the direction of a BOA platinum card at %) for 6 months. Not ever telling me about a $30 fee for the transaction and 24% apr for the life of the loan. I was told ZERO for six month NO STRINGS. Come to find out the associate was wrong and gave me the wrong information. So who is at fault? You guessed it ME? I took a thousand dollar loan , Paid $50 the first month and now owe more than I first withdrew. TK BOA

To the original poster...I actually LOLed when I read the part about the customer service agents treating you like a child. I had a VERY bad experience with BOA- I was told I had X amount of dollars in my account. I asked 3 times if this was accurate, current, up to the minutes info. I was reassured that it was. So, I decided to spend X minus $300, to I could have enough money to last me until the next paycheck. About 12 hours later I go to withdrawl my $300 and I was -$800, in the hole. Stranded 2 hours from home, no money for anything. I called costumer service to figure out what had gone wrong, seeing as I asked 3 times, even walking the customer service agent through the hypothetical I was considering-And was thrice reassured that I would have $300 remaining. The supervisor nearly scolded and lectured me. Anytime I was about to make a point or get a word in edge wise, I was interrupted. She seriously used rhetoric tactics you would see utilized on toddlers. Yea, you are right- COMPLETELY CONDENSING, utterly minimizing of the situation they had helped me to get into, unapologetic and unsympathetic, it was unlike talking to a human...I%26#039;m sure that little cold, superior, subtely abraisive touch they have is a product of an advance phase of their job training. Its a skill to be honed for sure. With all this in consideration, it was sooooo bad, that I%26#039;m STILL sorry for a couple of things I said to that supervisor, before I hung up in complete disgust--And this was over 18 months ago.

Banks love credit cards....Because thay $2000 truck loan you wanted would have probablty earned them $6000 or more...

Souds like it is your fault. BOA did not hold a gun to your head and make you take out the credit card did they? Take some personal resposibility for your actions.

I%26#039;ve been a B of A customer for many years. Actually Bank of America was purchased by Nations Bank but kept the name. I have had a few problems over the years but I have always been met with good customer service. In your case it sounds like you were given bad information. I assume the $30 fee is the annual card fee and the 24% is your credit card rate. More likely than not the person you talked to was giving you the normal song about a card that goes to preferred customers, with no annual fee and a 0% interest rate for six months and for whatever reason you didn%26#039;t qualify and were offered the other. At some point you should have been shown the discloser statement and if it wasn%26#039;t what you had been told never signed it or used the card. I would go back and talk to a more senior manager but in all honesty it is your responsibility to read the information.
