Help with bank entry?

Just checked my bank account online and noticed i had a counter credit for nearly 200 ponuds???? anyone care to explain what this is and where it comes from???

Help with bank entry?

a counter credit is one that is supplied by the bank with no details (like a blank paying in slip) which is then filled in and handed to the cashier.

Someone has paid in 鎷?00 to your account - are you expecting funds if not they may have put the wrong details on the slip and the bank have wrongly applied it.

They cannot take it back without your consent but if you are worried I would ask your bank to let you know who paid in the funds by getting a copy of the credit slip.

Maybe a payment has gone out in error, and a balancing credit has been made? If this remains a mystery, you should contact the bank asap.
