I have been a Yahoo Mail Plus customer for several years, but am encountering a very frustrating problem.
(1) I received a yearly subscription reminder for Yahoo Mail Plus recently, but lost my wallet/credit cards around that time. When Yahoo attempted to bill the card, it was naturally declined.
(2) By the time I received my new card, the Mail+ renewal date had passed.
(3) I attempted to reinstate/renew the account but to no avail.
(4) The following messages appear on the page:
- It appears that you have purchased this service with the free trial period once before. This offer is only available once per customer. The order has not been completed, and you have not been charged. The free trial period has been removed from this request. [..]
- Sorry, there is a temporary problem. Please try again later. If the problem persists, please contact Yahoo! Customer Care. (14)
Customer care does not know how to fix the problem. This might be an %26#039;unhandled state error%26#039;. Please help!!
Yahoo Mail Plus cannot be renewed or reinstated; my mail account is in limbo?
Did you actually CALL and talk with someone? They really SHOULD be able to help:

I believe that on PAID accounts they are required by law to retain the information for a certain period of time AFTER closing the account, in case there IS an error. My friend just had her account returned -- maybe you will be lucky and find someone there who can do it for you also. Don%26#039;t give up too soon!
