I have been with my employer full time for over a year. I intent to return to work after 6 months on a part time basis. How much is working family tax credit? Will I get assistance with child care cost? Is my rent or council tax reduced?
I currently work full time, live in a council property and im going to be a single mum. What am I entitledto?.
www.entitledto.com is very accurate and if you input your details you will get the results.
Your basic maternity entitlement is full pay for first 6 weeks then approx 鎷?12 week for the next 26 weeks, you can have up to a year off but not all of it will be paid. That is the minimum, your employer may offer more than that.
You will be entitled to the sure start maternity grant of 鎷?00 which can be claimed from 29 weeks until baby is 12 weeks old, the DWP website has the downloadable form and more info.
After you have the baby you will be entitled to housing benefit and council tax benefit, you will also get child benefit and child tax credit and working tax credit, you will also be entitled to 80% of your childcare costs when you return to work and leave your child at a registered childcare establishment.

You should be able to recieve housing benefit, council tax benefit and child/working tax credit the amonts will be determined by the amount you earn, again u should be entitled to childcare costs which i think is up to 80% of the fee.
I advise you to contact the tax credit helpline for more info on child and working tax element and your local councils housing department for the housing benefit and council tax!
In some circumstances though you my be financially better off not returning to work!!! I know it sucks but thats just the way it is! x

If you intend to return to work after 6 months does this mean your going to claim Income Support?
If so your entitlement is 鎷?9.15pwk, your rent, council tax paid %26amp; child tax credits %26amp; child benefit for your child.
When you make your claim a Lone Parent Adviser will discuss with you what you%26#039;ll be entitled to when working 16hrs or more pwk(estimated). This will show you how much working tax %26amp; help with rent/council tax you could be entitled to.
